Hospital Compliance Committee

The Hospital Compliance Committees (HCC) are responsible for assisting the USC compliance office with overseeing the hospitals’ compliance and ethics program and implementing additional compliance principles identified by the OIG in its hospital model compliance program guidance.  More specifically, the HCC is charged to:

1) Identify and prioritize compliance risks at USC hospitals

2) Assist with the development of compliance policies and procedures

3) Develop tools and other resources to assist hospital staff in learning and complying with compliance and ethical standards, policies, procedures, rules and regulations

4) Assist with identifying and monitoring compliance risks, including those found within billing, quality and risk management

5) Track and trend hospital reports of potential compliance issues

6) Ensure prompt investigation of potential compliance issues and implementation of appropriate corrective action

7) As appropriate, recommend and/or implement solutions to address potential or actual identified risks
