USC Office of Compliance

Education and Training

All USC Keck Medicine workforce members are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the USC Code of Ethics, HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements, and significant compliance risks related to their roles within the healthcare enterprise.  Specific compliance risks include EMR documentation, relationships with industry, conflicts of interest, fraud and abuse, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.  The USC Office of Compliance provides education on key regulatory requirements and compliance risks.  This education is in addition to education provided by departments and practice areas with their own specific compliance requirements, e.g., Pharmacy and Lab.
