USC Office of Compliance

Core Principles

  • All full-time faculty private practices affiliated with the University of Southern California fall under the USC Care Compliance Program
  • The USC Care Compliance Program will provide the definitive program scope and definition, policies and procedures and monitoring and auditing methodology for departmental implementation
  • USC Care, along with the University of Southern California, may randomly audit each of the practice groups to ensure adherence to the compliance program
  • All private practices must use the common billing system as a hub or full service model
  • In accordance with the Keck School of Medicine policy entitled “Special Policy for Faculty Physicians Engaged in Private Practice,” lack of compliance may result in disciplinary action.

Adopted by the USC Care Board of Directors, 1999
